Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PresentList (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

PresentList allows users to create and manage personal lists of desired gifts ("Present Lists"), and to share those lists with family, friends, or other individuals. Recipients of a shared list may "claim" an item to indicate their intention to purchase it. PresentList does not process purchases, handle payments, or fulfil any transactions. All purchases occur independently outside the Service.

PresentList makes no guarantees regarding product availability, pricing, or delivery on external websites or stores.

3. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily use the Service for personal, non-commercial use only. This is a license grant, not a transfer of title. You may not modify, copy, distribute, or exploit the Service for commercial purposes.

4. User Content

The content you submit to PresentList, including gift items, notes, and links, remains your property. By submitting content, you give PresentList a license to use and display it as needed to provide the Service.

5. Sharing and Visibility

When you share a Present List, its contents become visible to the individuals with whom you share it. You are solely responsible for selecting recipients and managing access.

PresentList is not responsible for unintended access caused by users sharing links, devices, account credentials, or recipients forwarding or otherwise distributing a shared link beyond what the original list creator intended.

You can archive a list or individual items on a list at any time.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Submit illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or misleading content.
• Post links to unsafe or malicious websites.
• Add content that infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to disrupt or damage the Service.
• Claim gifts on behalf of another user without permission.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your login.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Engage in illegal or unauthorized activity.
• Transmit worms, viruses, malware, or destructive code.
• Interfere with the security or functionality of the Service.

8. Third-Party Links

Present Lists may contain links to third-party websites, including retailers. Dragon Drop is not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, or practices of any external sites.

Your interactions with third-party websites are solely between you and the third party.

9. Privacy

We collect and store only the minimum information required to operate PresentList.

Information We Collect

From list creators only:

• Email address — required to create and access an account.
• Present List content — items, notes, and links added by the user.

We do not collect any personal information from individuals who claim gifts. Claimers do not need an account and provide no personal details.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not track:

• Clicks
• Link clicks
• Page views
• Device information
• Analytics data of any kind

Data Retention and Deletion

PresentList is a temporary service created for the Christmas period of 2025. All user data — including accounts, email addresses, and Present Lists — will be permanently deleted by 5 January 2026. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered. You will not be notified ahead of the data deletion.

10. No Responsibility for Purchases or Gift Issues

PresentList is not involved in any purchasing, fulfilment, or delivery of gifts. Dragon Drop is not responsible for incorrect, duplicate, unwanted, unavailable, mispriced, damaged, or undelivered gifts. All purchases occur outside the Service, and any issues related to those purchases are solely between the user and the external retailer or seller.

11. No Responsibility for Claiming or Sharing Issues

Claiming an item on PresentList is an informal indicator only. PresentList's system attempts to prevent multiple individuals from claiming or purchasing the same item, but it cannot guarantee this will always succeed. Dragon Drop is not responsible for any issues arising from claiming behaviour, including misunderstandings, duplicates, or unfulfilled purchases.

Whilst you can archive a list or an item at any time, be aware that it may have already been claimed and/or bought. The Service is not responsible for any outcomes in such cases.

Present Lists are shared via user-generated links.

12. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties, express or implied. Dragon Drop does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dragon Drop and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of goodwill, or service interruptions.

Dragon Drop is not responsible for disputes or issues related to claimed gifts, purchased gifts, or external transactions.

14. Account Suspension, Termination, or Service Suspension

Dragon Drop may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

Dragon Drop may also suspend or discontinue the Service at any time, at its sole discretion, with or without notice.

15. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use PresentList. If you are under the age of 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dragon Drop, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. You agree that any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

18. Changes to Terms

Dragon Drop reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
